They may just have one of my fave “how we met” stories of all time 🥹 Here it is:
“It all began at a hair salon. My mum, John’s mum and I went to the same hairdresser. It was the week before Christmas and my mum went to the hairdresser and spoke to her about how she hopes her daughter will find a nice guy. The very next day, Johns mum went and had that very same conversation with that hairdresser, hoping her son can find a nice girl. The hairdresser remembered the conversation between her and my mum and told John’s mum that she has a client with a single daughter. I also happened to go that week for a haircut and the hairdresser asked if it was okay to give my number to this guy named ‘John’ as his mum is one of her clients. I thought to myself, sure why not, I don’t have anything to lose. John’s mum gave him my number. Although John was very hesitant to text as he had never been on a blind date before, he plucked up the courage and texted me a few days later to meet up for a coffee (we both had no idea what each other looked like). We met at a cafe in Surry Hills 3 days later – we clicked straight away, it was as though we knew each other for a long time, and the rest is history”
